Editorial policy
Urban Story House aims to make claims about places carefully and plainly. We explain what can be observed, distinguish it from interpretation, and avoid treating a single feature as proof of a larger story.
Accuracy and context
We check factual claims against suitable material available to the editorial process and use cautious wording when details are uncertain. Where an interpretation is offered, we make clear that it is an interpretation rather than a fact visible in the street itself. We avoid unsupported claims about the history, people or purpose of a place.
Independence and corrections
Editorial decisions are made for clarity and relevance to the publication's subject. Commercial relationships do not determine our conclusions. Readers can send a correction through the Contact page; we assess the detail, update material when warranted and make significant corrections clear to readers.
Partner material
Any sponsored or partner-supported material is labelled clearly where it appears, so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage or editorial approval.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Illustrations are not presented as documentary evidence of a real street, building, event or person; where their nature could be unclear, we identify them accordingly.
